Terms of Use
Mailnook ยท Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms apply to Mailnook, run by Joshua Buxton trading as Elevatic Studios, Adelaide, South Australia ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
The service
Mailnook lets AI assistants (Claude by Anthropic, and ChatGPT by OpenAI) work with email accounts you connect: searching, reading, drafting, sending and organising mail. It's currently in private beta: features may change, and it may occasionally be unavailable.
Mailnook is an independent product. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic, OpenAI or your mail providers, and their own terms apply to your use of their services.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over, and able to agree to these terms. During the beta, accounts are by invitation.
Your responsibilities
- Only connect mailboxes you own or are authorised to use, and follow your mail providers' terms.
- You're responsible for emails sent from your mailboxes, including those your assistant sends at your request. AI can make mistakes, so check what it proposes before you approve a send.
- Don't use Mailnook to send spam or unlawful, harassing or deceptive messages, to access anyone else's data, or to interfere with the service. Daily sending limits apply.
- Keep your account sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
Plans and payment
The free plan includes up to 3 mailboxes. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time under Manage billing, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. If your plan ends, mailboxes above the free limit are paused, not deleted. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies.
Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights.
Liability
We work to keep Mailnook secure and reliable, but we can't promise it will be error-free or always available. Mailnook depends on services we don't control, such as your mail providers and the AI assistants, and a provider may change or withdraw the sign-in method Mailnook uses (for example, app passwords).
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by your mail providers, by Anthropic or OpenAI, or by emails you or your assistant send, move or delete through your account. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can lawfully be limited, it's limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid for the affected period.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the control panel. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk; where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we ever shut Mailnook down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused paid time.
Changes
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel and we'll refund any unused paid time.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
